Ever used a Coinstar coin counting machine before? I hadn’t until this week. This deal was just too good to pass up. Cash in at least $40 in coins in a single transaction and choose an eCertificate for iTunes, Lowe’s, Borders, Rixty, Regal/UA/Edwards, or Amazon and get a $10 bonus through Dec 31st! Here’s how it works:
Take your $40 in coins to a Coinstar location nearest you. Don’t have $40 in change? You can do what we did. We went to the bank and got $40 in quarters!
Choose to redeem your change as an eCertificate for iTunes, Lowe’s, Borders, Rixty, Regal/UA/Edwards, or Amazon. You won’t be charged for the counting service.
You’ll get a promotion code on your Coinstar receipt for your $10 bonus. Enter your code on the Coinstar promotion page, and you’ll get information regarding how to get your $10 bonus.
We redeemed our coins for an Amazon eCertificate. After entering the promotion code, I got my $10 bonus code within 10 minutes in my email! The Amazon code does have some additional restrictions, so check those out before you redeem your coins. According to the terms, the promotion is good only for Toys and Games, but the actual requirements are a bit vague.
Have you tried this? Were you able to use the Amazon code for things you wouldn’t consider Toys and Games?
Thanks, Common Sense with Money.
