I’m a planner. Oh yes, down to the last detail. I love lists. I love scratching items off my lists. So today, I went to Walgreens because I had $10 in RR that were getting ready to expire. And I had a great plan to do the $10 Johnson & Johnson rebate. I printed my coupons, and away I went. They even had almost everything I wanted!
So what could go wrong? Me! Yes, I foiled my own plan. See, I forgot that I needed to pick up the coupon for the Lubriderm out of the Diabetes & Me book in the pharmacy. It shouldn’t have been hard to remember. My math totally didn’t work out without it. But I’ve never been very good at arithmetic, and I didn’t figure it out… Until I’d already driven most of the way home. I considered going back, but I knew how that would go. Poorly. So I sucked it up and dealt with the fact that the transaction cost $4 than it should have. Sigh. So here’s how it worked out… (not how it was supposed to work out, but oh well)
3 Candy Canes – $.24 ea, filler
3 Lubriderm Daily Moisture – $3.99, Buy 1, get 1 1/2 off (so 1 was $3.99 and 2 were $1.99), used 3 $2 printables
2 Clean and Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser – $4.79, Buy 1, get 1 1/2 off, used 2 $2 printables
2 Aveeno Nouris + Shine Spray Gel – $7.49, Buy 1, get 1 1/2 off, used 2 $2.50 printables
1 Lubriderm Intense Skin Ointment (because they didn’t have another daily moisture) – $4.99, used $2 printable
Total Cost: $34.90
Coupons: $17
RR: $14
GC: $3.90
And I’ll get $10 back, but ugh, still cost more than it should have…. Ever had a shopping mishap? Please tell me I’m not alone!

I first want to say how sorry I am that things didn't work out! BUT, I thank you for sharing your mishap, for sometimes I wonder if I am the only person that messes up! I am too, the planning type! :) Coupon Lady~ you have lended me grace today… tomorrow is a new one! I am glad to see that you are ~human~! May God bless you for all that you do!
Do you know if you have to make all purchases on one receipt for the rebate?
Thanks!!
Carree
Since the rebate form says original receipt instead of original receipt(s), I believe that everything does have to be purchased in a single transaction.
