Yesterday after work, DH actually agreed to take me to not 1, not 2, but 3 stores. Yes he’s a saint. We didn’t leave work until nearly 7, so it made for a rather late night. I do believe he’s up for some kind of commendation. Or if he’s not, he should be.
First up, CVS:
1 Tone bar soap – $1.88 w/$1 ECBs, LIMIT 1, used
$1 printable
1 Colgate Total – $2.99 w/$2 ECBs, LIMIT 1, used $1 coupon from 9/27 SS
Total Cost: $5.01
Coupons: $2
ECBs: $3
GC: $0.01
And I got back $3 in ECBs, so this cost $.01. I hate sales tax. Oh well, it really worked pretty well to roll my $3 ECBs, so I shouldn’t complain.
Walgreens
2 Playtex gloves – $.99 w/IVC ea, used 2 $1 MFC
2 Carrot seeds – $.05 ea, filler
1 Fusion Razor – $8.99 w/$6 RR, used $4 coupon
Total Cost: $11.93
Coupons: $6
RR: $4.50
GC: $1.43
And I got back $6 in RR, so I made $.07. Not a fortune, but gotta love free stuff.
Meijer
Meijer turned out to be something of a disappointment. I wanted to get 5 of the $1 pasta sauces because we’re down to our last jar (I know, how can that be?). Well, they only had 1… So I got a raincheck.
1 Starbucks Ice Cream – $3.45, used free item coupon
1 Meijer Spaghetti Sauce – $1
I used a coupon for $1 off your purchase when you use your Discover card.
Total Cost: $4.49
Coupons: $4.45
OOP: $.04
And I got back my $20 Kraft rebate in the mail yesterday, so that will come off my total OOP.

I'm with you, sales tax sucks :D That is what is killing me at Walgreens at the moment! I'm paying more in tax than for the items! Lots of good deals still, great for the items that are food or medications so you only have the 1% :D
I just remind myself it is better than the 15% (now down to 13%) back home!
