What a great question. Let me tell you what I spend my money on: concerts. Yup, you heard me right. I love to go to concerts. But not just any old concert. I love The Monkees.
Yeah, you know, from the 60′s. What? Oh no, I wasn’t around in the 60′s. I didn’t make my appearance until more than 10 years after the show was canceled, but you don’t have to be a child of the 60′s to love the Monkees. I mean come on, they’re the Monkees!
A few weeks ago, my mom and I went to see Davy Jones. It was awesome. It was a free show, but we did have to drive several hours to get there. And this is the first thing we saw:

Yeah, his name is spelled wrong. How cool is that? They couldn’t even spell his name right?! It didn’t matter too much, because his show was awesome. We had pretty decent seats (did I mention we got there about 5 hours early?). Then after the show, he signed some autographs. I’d met him once before, but my mother never had. Here is he is, up close and personal.
See the horse under his arm? I gave that to him. :) He has thoroughbreds, so I try to bring him a stuffed horse every time I see him. He signed my copy of They Made a Monkee Out of Me, which is just too cool for school.
So there you have it, my secret obsession, though I guess it isn’t a secret anymore…

Wow, Davy looks old. I'm a bit sad.
That is sooo cool that you got to see Davy Jones (I made sure I spelled his name right, unlike the poster creator ;) And I agree with your friend, he does look old! Does he do only Monkees songs? I remember watching the show on TV, it was great!
I don't have a Google account, so I'll sign as "Your Favorite cousin, aka Sharon" ;)
