Shopping the CVS 2 day sale

Well, I haven’t been doing too well keeping up lately, but that’s because I’ve been on vacation! We recently returned from a week long trip to Acapulco!!!! It was amazing, not to mention warm. :) We had a really terrific time, but we’re also very glad to be back.

Ok, anyhow, CVS had a two day sale today and yesterday, and it was pretty awesome. I ended up getting to my 24hr CVS about 11:15pm on Saturday night, and I was able to get almost everything I wanted! There were a few hiccups, but all in all, it went pretty well. Here’s what I got yesterday and today:

8 Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kit
5 Right Guard Deoderant
5 Listerine
2 Sally Hansen Nail Polish
2 Crest Pro Health
2 L’Oreal Metallic Eyeshadow
1 Zantac
1 Halls Cough Drops
1 Excedrin Gels
1 Essence of Beauty body spray
1 EAS AdvantEdge Bar
1 Gillette Fusion gift set
1 Gillette Venus
1 Gold Emblem Peanut Butter filled pretzels
1 Rosa Fudge

Total Cost: $121.63
Coupons: $34.28
ECB: $84.09
GC: $3.26
OOP: $0

I started with $62.40 ECB, and now I have $79.54, so I made about $17! So about the hiccups… there were two, which isn’t too bad. First, I bought the wrong L’Oreal, so I had to return it and buy the right one, but it wasn’t a big deal. Second, I got the right Sally Hansen, but the ECB didn’t print! I didn’t notice until I got home. So I went back today, and instead of returning and rebuying, they just force the ECB to print. The really nice part was that I only paid $5.98 for the two nail polishes after my coupon, but they gave me $12 in ECB. When I bought them, they rang up buy 1 get 1 50% off. It was definitely a nice perk! I got the Fusion razor because it had a $10 mail in rebate when you bought select EA Sports Games. We got Madden ’09 for my brother, so we can mail that in for $10! The razor only cost $6 after my coupon, so it’s a $4 money maker!

Lastly, keep your eyes out on the clearance items. I got the body spray for $1.49 today, and I had a $2 coupon, so $0.51 overage!

Oh, and I got $8 back in the mail for the Touch of Gray rebate, so that’s coming off my total OOP.
